OUTREACH

Thank you to all our families for your generous donations for the Santa Shoebox Project. We pledged 80 boxes which were dropped off on Thursday. Thank you to Mrs Ward for organising our Outreach and for inspiring us to support others. 💝

Family Angels

The first area of work was to support families who were having financial difficulty or had fallen on hard times.
This could have arisen from situations such as the loss of a partner, illness, loss of a job, or unexpected expenses. We support families for 1-3 months to help get them back on their feet.

Our support package includes a weekly grocery delivery of non-perishable food, fruit, vegetables, meat, tinned food, baby supplies, and cleaning supplies. 

We also help with mental health, medical, and the job-hunting process, having a WhatsApp JOB SEARCH group with local opportunities and help with CVs.

Electricity is also supplied when needed. We look at a holistic approach with the motto of A HAND UP, NOT A HANDOUT. We will also refer to other agencies, such as counseling and financial advisory services if needed. We visit families at least once a week and befriend them to offer emotional support, through the tough time. We assist with doctors’ visits, feeding pets and vets.

Melkbossie Farm

Melkbossie is a farm animal sanctuary with a beautiful, family friendly venue, ideal for all ages.

We have a variety of different animals needing sanctuary at different times. We also have a beautiful coffee shop and kids play area. Pony rides and a putt putt course make our venue ideal for kids parties and child friendly get togethers. Enjoy interacting with animals with a beautiful backdrop of Table Mountain, while the kids enjoy themselves and you have a cup of coffee and a bite to eat.

We are also open for kids’ parties and school trips.



Fallen Angels

Fallen Angels Pet Rescue is a registered NPO  (NPO 175-638) focusing on the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of domestic animals.
Any animal  that is forgotten, abandoned (abused), lost, lonely, emaciated and neglected (FALLEN) is considered to be a Fallen Angel & therefore part of the focus area of this organisation.


Through animal  therapy they aim to assist in healing the broken souls of any “FALLEN Angels” they are financially able to assist.

 

Fallen Angels Pet Rescue was founded in February 2014 by three devoted people; already active within the animal rescue and rehabilitation circuits.

We are situated in Melkbosstrand and we work hard to make sure that all the animals in our care get the love, attention and adoration that they deserve. We have many volunteers that help, which we are all too grateful for. Our aim to make sure that the animals in our care get homes that will give them the comfort that they deserve. It's been a long and hard journey, but one that is worth it every day.

The ‘FALLEN’ in Fallen Angels Pet Rescue stands for Forgotten, Abandoned (Abused), Lost, Lonely, Emaciated and Neglected. Any animal that falls under these categories is considered a ‘Fallen Angel’ and thus falls within the area of importance for this organization.
